[open] - stench.

There was a definite stench of the area. One that slithered through her nostrils and shook her very core. She had smelled this before. It was a smell her parents, rest their souls, had warned her about. War. Death. Human nature.

A land ravaged by war, pain and suffering. This place was not Hyrule nor any of the locations bordering it. The structures were odd; primitive like the ruins of civilizations long lost through time. However, this did not phase the young future queen one bit. Upon finally arriving in the Central District, her eyes were stern with the aftermath of such a battle. Zelda could only wonder… was it worth it? Was the battle that raged before her arrival truly needed to sustain peace and prosperity through this land? By one look at the leftovers of the conflict, she’d guess so. There were some sacrifices that needed to be made in order to ensure peace, perhaps this was one of them.

Hours had passed since she arrived, leaving the elf-earred woman another face in the crowd of people relieving the duties of so many healers who had worn themselves out. The ends of her white gloves had grown dirty with filth and grime, only for her to ignore the silk fabric at her fingertips. It was now that she’d serve these people, as if they were her own. They would be the ones to provide answers, after all. Her noble form left to take a breath, a moment to herself to recollect her thoughts, it was here her eyes shut only a moment. And then — ! Crash, her form would collide with another, leaving her to stumble back to regain her composure. Eyes widened at the sight of the poor person she ran into. Foolish, Zelda. You still had a lot to learn before you became Queen — if you could even return home.

“I apologize —! I wasn’t watching where I stepped, are you alright?”
